Frequently asked questions about Swim Safety

See all
Are the Swim Safety products safe and tested?

Yes, all our swimming products are completely safe! Whether it’s our swim vests, puddle jumpers, armbands, or baby floats, every product is thoroughly tested according to the strictest European laws and regulations.

Our swim vests, puddle jumpers, and armbands comply with the EN-13138-1:2021/AC:2022 standard, while our baby floats meet the EN-13138-3 standard.
This ensures that your little one can explore the water in a safe and trusted way, enjoying endless fun!

We always recommend keeping children under supervision when they are in or around the water, so they can enjoy it safely and responsibly.

What is the difference between a Puddle Jumper and Arm Bands?

Puddle Jumpers consist of a floating (foam) vest with arm and shoulder bands. This gives your child extra stability and more freedom of movement.

Arm Bands, on the other hand, go only around the arms and need to be inflated. They are usually lower in price, but a Puddle Jumper generally lasts longer.

What type of closure do the Swim Vests and Puddle Jumpers have?

Both our Swim Vests and Puddle Jumpers are designed with safety and ease of use in mind.

The Puddle Jumper features a double buckle on the back, specially designed to keep the vest secure and in place. This ensures it stays on firmly while swimming and prevents your child from taking it off on their own.

The swim vest is equipped with a reliable auto-lock zipper on the front, combined with an additional Velcro strap between the legs. This combination ensures the vest stays securely in place, allowing your child to enjoy the water safely and comfortably.

Are Puddle Jumpers and Swim Vests life jackets?

Our puddle jumpers and swim vests are designed as swimming aids and personal protective equipment (PPE) that help children float and move in the water. However, these products are not classified as life jackets and therefore do not offer the same level of safety as an official life jacket.

We always recommend keeping children under supervision when they are in or around the water, so they can enjoy it safely and responsibly.
